I hurt my neck a few weeks ago, and I’ve had some tingling in my hands today, and instead of being an adult I just had a crying-jag freak out. Because I can’t go to my crappy doctor because he’ll never believe it’s anything other than diabetes causing nerve damage because all he ever talks about is my weight. And while diabetes is a legit concern because my father developed it, I don’t have it.
Because my dad has it and has to check his blood sugar. So I can also check my blood sugar using his device. My blood sugar is normal.
But I don’t think my doctor would say, “Well, good, we’ve ruled diabetes out, let’s figure out what happened to your neck/nerves/whatever.” It will never not be weight related/diabetes related.
So I’m going to try calling a chiropractor tomorrow. Maybe they can help. But I’m just so frustrated with it all. Like, a doctor who listens? In this economy? Unheard of…
I knew it was too good to last, but my mild summer is coming to an end, and my little polar bear heart is miserable and my skin is sticky.
But at least we’ve moved up to the cabin which is about 10° cooler than it would be down in town where we were before. (So it’s going to hit high 80’s/low 90’s here, but it’s in the 100’s down there). But we had AC down there and here is just fans and a hopeful spirit.
Maybe this will be the only big heat of the season? Maybe it’ll stay a little less intense later? Please?

I know it’s not like helpful to the community but I am really a sucker for all the pride merch that otherwise neutral companies put out in June. Like Coach and Kate Spade have some really cute rainbow bags, and Disney had some okay stuff.
I’m not buying anything, but damn I want to be a cute femme with my cute pride Coach bag. Gahh.
